Hand-Selected With Care — Every Single Order
When your order comes in, I personally pull each geode from my collection. I don't just grab the first ten off the pile — I take my time selecting specimens I believe will deliver the best crack, the most impressive crystal reveal, and the greatest educational value for your students. Every pack is a premium, mixed variety chosen with your classroom experience in mind. No two packs are exactly alike.
What You'll Receive:
- 10 whole, unopened Kentucky geodes — hand-selected mixed variety
- Larger specimens than standard bulk lots — chosen for classroom impact
- Naturally formed in limestone, no dyes or treatments
- Hand-cleaned and ready for classroom or home learning
- Each geode unique in size, texture, and crystal growth
What You Might Find Inside:
When opened, geodes often reveal quartz or calcite crystals — clear, white, or honey-colored interiors formed through slow mineral growth. Some may include bands of chalcedony or small fossil impressions, showing Kentucky's ancient marine past. No two are alike.
Safety and Opening Instructions:
- Always wear safety glasses and gloves when opening
- Use a geode cracker, hammer and chisel, or place the stone inside a thick sock or towel before gently tapping
- Adult supervision is required for all classroom and youth activities
- Never strike a geode on hard surfaces like concrete — it can cause dangerous shards
Educational Use:
Perfect for Earth Science, Geology, or STEM lessons — students can explore crystal formation, erosion, and mineral growth with real Kentucky specimens.
